Great experience for my first tattoo. Staff were very accommodating for my wife and I in working with our ideas of what we wanted. We both felt the quality of the work was amazing at a reasonable price. They were also willing to replace the "second skin" cover on my wife's tattoo that fell off due to getting caught in a downpour in Hanoi, free of charge. Highly recommend for travellers coming through!

I was there to get a belly button. The team was very nice and seemed to be professional. At first i was happy with my piercing but later I unfortunately realised, that it was not straight at all. I had to take it out. Maybe a good place for tattoos but not for piercings.

Absolutely recommend this place! Fast design, great English, stylish vibe, super friendly, and perfectly clean. The whole team is pure genius. 🙏🏻🫶🏻

My wife and I got absolutely beautiful tattoos here—and somehow managed not to argue over the design, which might be their greatest achievement. The shop was spotless, the staff were super friendly and enthusiastic, and the artists clearly know exactly what they’re doing (which is reassuring when someone’s holding a needle near you). We walked into Blackout Room Tattoo Parlor in Hanoi with a last-minute idea and five people all wanting tattoos at the same time, which is usually where things start to fall apart. Instead, these guys made it look effortless. They somehow coordinated all five of us and had us sitting down together, working in sync, no chaos, no stress, just a calm, confident flow that immediately told you you were in the right place. That alone was impressive. What really stood out though was the quality of the work. Every single tattoo came out sharp, clean, and exactly what we wanted. Fine lines were crisp, details were spot on, and nothing felt rushed despite the time pressure we brought in with us. The artists were brilliant. Friendly without being overbearing, focused without being cold. They listened properly, made small adjustments where needed, and clearly took pride in what they were doing. You could feel that balance of skill and care, which is exactly what you want when someone’s putting something permanent on your body. The studio itself was spotless. Everything felt clean, organised, and professional, which matters more than people sometimes admit. No corners cut, no shortcuts taken, just a well-run place that takes hygiene seriously. And then there’s the value. For the level of work, the experience, and the fact they handled five of us at once, it was incredibly fair. One of those rare situations where you walk out feeling like you got more than you paid for. Genuinely one of the best tattoo experiences I’ve had, and definitely one of the most memorable. If you’re in Hanoi and even half thinking about getting something done, go here.

I got a tattoo on our trip to Hanoi at Black out room tattoo studio the staff where so acccomadating and happy to help with getting the right idea for my tatt to symbolise my visit to Veitman Ruby was awesome and after a bit of back and forth we got it and I now have a forever memory of my time in Hanoi and some new friends 100% would recommend going there It’s clean safe and the hygiene was above and beyond as well as the attention to detail was far beyond my exceptions thank again to the staff

If I could give this studio a 10, I absolutely would. The place is super clean, welcoming, and has such a great atmosphere from the moment you walk in. I came in spontaneously because I wanted to cover up an old tattoo, and I’m honestly so happy I did. The artists were incredibly professional and took the time to really understand what I wanted. They gave me great advice and guidance, and then created an amazing koi sage design for me right on the spot. I was blown away by the sketch and even more by the final result. The whole experience felt relaxed, friendly, and very professional at the same time. Big thank you to Ruby as well for the milk tea while I was getting tattooed, such a sweet touch. I’m beyond happy with my tattoo and can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re looking for high quality work in a super friendly and skilled environment, this is definitely the place to go.

Love this shop and the people. Everyone is super patient and helpful - I had a team of three helping me with the design of the tattoo and then the placement. But they gave me space when I was more in my own head. Then on tattoo day, it was all super chill and relaxed. Loved it here

Got two tattoos from Black Out tattoos last night, and the boys- Vu and Long did a great job, absolutely love them, big shout out to Ruby for looking after me when I came into the shop😎

I stopped in here on a whim to get my 2nd lobe piercing. The piercing was quick, professional and all equipment very clean. Cannot fault the service I asked for. Unfortunately there was a member of staff with a cough in the studio. The next day both my partner and I have become ill with flu and continue to be so which has hugely impacted our travel in Vietnam. We have missed tours, experiences, and travelling has become extremely difficult. I understand people need to work but when your job requires you to be close to peoples faces or handle money you should not be there when you’re ill. This has ruined what was a highly anticipated holiday in Vietnam. When you come from the other side of the world it’s not like you can just try again next year. I regret ever going into this studio for that reason only.

Had a really good experience at this shop, everyone was really friendly and super talented. Me and my 4 friends all got tattoos and they all turned out perfectly. We almost spend the whole day there and the owner got us the best bah mi's Such a warm place i will definitely swing by again if im in hanoi

All the guys were great to work with. My wife and i each got a tattoo on our arms. They helped us size the tattoos and started right away. The price was reasonable compared to other places. Vu tattooed a Koi on my wife and she loved it. It was very detailed and beautiful.

Had such a great experience getting my tattoo! The staff are all so kind, patient, and amazing. I took a long time deciding on the size of my tattoo and they were so happy to make sure I absolutely loved everything about it before we started. They were super quick and made sure I was okay every step of the way! It turned out absolutely amazing and if I am ever back in Vietnam I will for sure be getting another tattoo with them!! My husband got a tattoo at Black out room. He came in with an idea more or less and the staff helped him out so fast, drawing up different designs that would fit to his liking and his expectations were met and they went above and beyond our expectations. Very friendly staff, clean establishment, professional and a lot of books to choose from for small, medium tattoos. I wanted to get one myself of my dog but I was just too indecisive and not spontaneous enough. Next time !

I had a really good experience here given that it was my first tattoo and I was on a trip. Tattoo healed just fine through out the trip. Owner was really helping, she helped me brainstorm ideas, positioning and size of the tattoo. And it was reasonably priced as well. I'm happy that I found these guys.
