We had an amazing experience with Normal Tattoo! The space is clean and comfortable and all the staff are very kind and helpful. We sent our ideas and availability via Instagram and they were able to find us a spot within two days of our inquiry. On the day of the appointment they showed us some potential designs and we worked together to choose our favourites. There was also a translator present if we needed it. We are super happy with our new tattoos! Our artist was Eti — his line work is some of the cleanest I’ve seen. The tattoos came out beautifully and worked out to be about $350USD for both. Since we had two people getting tattoos, we were in the studio from 10am to 7pm. They made sure we were comfortable the entire time! They let us order lunch to the studio and offered pillows and blankets while I was waiting for my sister’s to be done. Overall, a lovely experience! Will definitely be back next time we’re in Ho Chi Minh.

My friend and I both got fine line tattoos here after finding them on Instagram. It’s a lovely studio and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Both artists were very patient and gave us plenty of time and advice to decide on the right placement for our tattoos. The whole experience was fantastic and we’re so happy with the final result!! I found Baduk on Instagram and she recommended me to Eti who did AMAZING on my tattoo. Everyone there was so friendly and accommodating. Eti was so patient with creating my design especially the little details. I was also really indecisive on how to incorporate my original tattoo but he helped me with the placement and through every single step without making me feel bad for taking so long to decide. I let him know areas where I was more scared of the pain so he would work in sections and he was very light handed so it was manageable. Definitely my favorite tattoo now to honor my Vietnamese heritage. Thank you Eti and the Normal Tattoo Studio team for making my experience amazing. Will definitely be back and recommending all my friends here!

I’m super happy with my tattoo and the whole experience at this studio! The place is beautiful, very clean, and clearly maintains high hygiene standards. The artists are incredibly talented, and I really loved how they worked together as a team, constantly communicating and making sure everything was just right. They gave me plenty of time to think about the placement and were very patient when I wanted to adjust it until it felt perfect. The final result is absolutely stunning. So fine, detailed, and exactly how I imagined it. What impressed me even more was their dedication: even after we were basically done, they took the time to set everything up again and add a small extra detail I decided on at the last minute. Not because they missed anything, but simply because I changed my mind—and they were still super kind and accommodating. Communication was great throughout, and the whole experience felt professional, relaxed, and really enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this studio! So happy with my forever souvenir from Vietnam :)

The best tattoo studio i’ve experienced. Every member of staff was extremely kind and it was very easy to communicate. They put a lot of effort into making my tattoo perfect, incorporating my opinion as well as their professional opinion. They made as many changes I wanted, whether it was removing something, changing the size, or shading. It was a full day session, where they also cared about my health and ensured we ate throughout the appointment. Definitely will come back on my next visit to Vietnam!

Messaged the artist via instagram direct message for a booking inquiry, the response back was fairly quick and although she was unable to accommodate my desired time - she set me up with an appointment with another artist at the same studio. I was given directions to the shop and a price quote to properly prepare VND in cash for payment. The directions to the shop were clear and concise, easy to navigate and find. I worked with Eti on my tattoo - he had prepared a few sketches for us to talk over upon my arrival. I wanted a souvenir stamp with a xích lô and characters with the likeness of my parents, he was able to quickly change the design to my liking and within 2.5 hours we were done. We communicated in both English and Vietnamese, it was easy to understand each other and make sure we were on the same page on design, size, and positioning. The tattoo process was so easy, everyone in the studio is so friendly and nice.
