From Singapore: A little lengthy but good read for those who wishes to have a big piece of project and concerns about the pain. I saw great works from Gioi Tattoo, made my first visit to discuss with Huynh Thanh Xuan. Very welcoming person and assured me he will be very gentle with the colouring- i had severe symptoms like cold sweat, chest tightness from the previous session with another artist (not at Gioi). I thought it was my low pain tolerance. I was amazed that the first 4hours was a breeze! indeed felt like it was nowhere near pain but only the last hour was painful due to my waist being the most sensitive areas. First session Colouring was great! I’m hoping to do the next session soon! So guys do have a chat with any of them and i’m sure you will be very pleased with the project done there 🤩 Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Friendliness ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Skill ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Huge thanks to Xuân, Thông, and the whole team. They’re all incredibly easy to deal with and seriously talented when it comes to traditional Japanese art. Xuân did my leg sleeve and Thông did my arm sleeve, and both pieces turned out better than I could’ve hoped for. On top of the amazing work, the entire team made me feel welcome from day one, like being around family. Highly recommend Xuân, Thông, and the team if you’re after top-quality Japanese traditional tattoos and a great studio vibe.

The tattoo artists are really friendly here to tourists as they get so many of them. At first, I was worried because no one spoke english, so I had to use google translate. They sent me a demo of the tattoo I asked for 1 week before arriving in vietnam but when I got there they didn't expect my arm to be bigger in size, so they had to adjust the tattoo. It was supposed to be 8hrs each day for 2 days, but they said it's going to take 12hrs a day for 2 days. They normally only work for 8hrs a day, but they put in the work and stayed back for me. Appreciate my two tattoo artists! Would definitely recommend them!

Một tiệm xăm vừa có tâm vừa có tầm 10 đỉm không có nhưng, rất chu đáo thợ xăm tư vấn rất nhiệt tình, tay nghề đỉnh cao kĩ thuật xăm chuyên nghiệp, màu sắc và đường nét xuất sắc, hoạ tiết thực sự cuốn hút. Mình sẽ ghé thêm nhiều lần nữa vì quá mê.🥰

When I first found out about this place, I was a bit skeptical due to online pictures and reviews but upon arrival, it blew my mind on how professional and friendly the artists were and how organized the place was. After thorough research, I've decided, since I'm visiting Vietnam, might as well get a few tattoos while I'm there. Messaging the Facebook page of the shop was easy, I stated what I wanted on my arms and my front and they delivered. The designs were perfect and exactly what I wanted. When I arrived at the shop, I was greeted by the owner, I was handed a bottle of water and was told to wait at the back for the artist to get his stencils ready. The process of getting tattooed was thorough, quick and easy and they turned out to be more perfect than I imagined. I will be coming back in a few months to get my back done and a few touch ups. Overall: - Service: 100/10 - Atmosphere: 10/10 - Reasonably priced Definitely recommended to all tourists and foreigners to come here tattooed here!

I had a disappointing experience at this tattoo shop, especially as a tourist. I requested a custom dragon and samurai design for my arm, assuming it would be an original piece. Before visiting, I messaged their Instagram account to discuss my design and pricing. I believe I was speaking with the owner when we agreed on an hourly rate of 1M per hour, with an estimated total of 35-45 hours to complete the piece. When I arrived, I was shown the design and told that two artists would be working on my arm simultaneously. I only wanted qualified artists working on my tattoo, so I asked if the design was created by one of them, and she confirmed it was. We proceeded with the session. After 10 hours, I was suddenly informed that I needed to pay 1M per hour per artist—effectively doubling the agreed-upon rate. This meant my tattoo would have cost 90M in total. Confused, I reminded them that we had already agreed on 1M per hour on Instagram. After about 30 minutes of back and forth, they finally settled on 45M for the entire sleeve. As the sessions progressed, I discovered that my "custom" tattoo was actually a complete duplicate of another back piece done months earlier by a different artist at their shop—even using the exact same colors. I found this out while scrolling through their Instagram. Regarding the quality of work, one artist (the main girl with glasses) did well, but the second artist rushed through her part and didn’t seem to care, likely because I was a tourist. Her lines were extremely messy, with noticeable ink blowout. The pants portion of the tattoo was so uneven and poorly executed that I will have to change the entire design to fix it. They even left the pants unfinished due to a minor infection, but instead of being honest, they falsely claimed they couldn’t finish it because it hadn’t healed. If I had known how unprofessional and sketchy this place was, I would have never gotten any work done here. TL;DR: Tried to charge me double the agreed price. Reused an old design and passed it off as custom. Rushed the work, leading to blowouts and uneven lines. Left the piece unfinished and made excuses. I would strongly advise against getting tattooed here, especially if you're a tourist.
